OCTOBER 19, 2008 — Chula Vista Police are investigating the cause of an early morning Chula Vista pedestrian accident that tragically left a 17-year-old dead. The accident happened in Chula Vista at about 4:10 a.m. Sunday morning on Olympic Parkway near Brandywine Avenue. The teen was struck by an eastbound travelling vehicle while crossing Olympic Parkway. Authorities have not released the name or gender of the teen, who suffered traumatic head injuries and internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
OCTOBER 19, 2008 – A man was arrested after running over his girlfriend with a pickup truck Saturday night in El Cajon. The incident occurred about 8:25 p.m. Saturday night near Adobe Lane and Somerlane Street in El Cajon, according to the Sheriff’s Department. The man and woman were inside the cab of the truck when they began arguing. The woman’s boyfriend pushed her out of the truck, ran her over, and dragged her for a short distance after she became entangled in the undercarriage. The woman suffered moderate injuries in the El Cajon auto accident, but is expected to survive. Her boyfriend faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
