Army wants brain injury studies

According to the results from an Army task force studying traumatic brain injury, as many as 20 percent of the soldiers serving in a war zone suffer from minor concussions and don’t realize they need treatment.

The Associate Press story claims that, “10 percent to 20 percent of soldiers and Marines leaving Iraq and Afghanistan are affected by mild traumatic brain injury. The most common cause was blast from an explosion.”

Sailboat accident leaves one severly injured

Los Angeles Freeway Wreck leaves two dead

A three vehicle LA freeway wreck left two people dead early morning on January 9th on the Harbor Freeway. A Ford Mustang caught on fire after it was apparently hit by a sports utility vehicle. The driver of the sport utility vehicle was taken to the hospital with only minor wounds. The driver and passenger of the Mustang, a man and a woman, died in the burning vehicle. The driver of a mini-van which was also involved in the crash was not hurt.
