AUGUST 1, 2009 - A 44-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car in a San Diego County residential neighborhood, authorities said. Michael Alan Vankleeck of Chula Vista was riding south on Nacion Avenue about 1:45 p.m. when he collided with a car that was turning left from Montclaire Street, according to Chula Vista police. Vankleeck was wearing a helmet, but suffered critical injuries and died at the hospital, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s office. The Chula Vista Police Department is investigating the motorcycle collision.
