JULY 21, 2009 – A bicyclist died from injuries suffered in a collision with a car, authorities said. The unidentified cyclist was struck near the intersection of Cole Grade Road and Bernabeo Court around 8:20 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Emergency personnel responded and transported the victim to Palomar Medical Center, said a dispatcher with Cal Fire. A short time later, an investigator with the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office was called to collect the cyclist’s body, authorities said. The CHP is investigating the bicycle collision.
