Two Men Seriously Injured Wednesday when Pinned by Motor Home in Oceanside

JULY 16, 2009 – A father and son were injured when the motor home they were working on was struck by another vehicle on Highway 78, pinning them against the center divider, authorities said. The accident occurred in eastbound lanes just before 2 p.m. near Jefferson Street, according to a captain with the Oceanside Fire Department. The unidentified men, aged 75 and 45, were working between the center divider and side of the motor home when it was struck. They were transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla with serious injuries, authorities said. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the motor home crash.
