JUNE 15, 2009 – A 27-year-old trainer at Sea World was bitten on the leg by a sea lion and hospitalized, authorities said. The incident occurred about 4:45 p.m., said a spokeswoman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. The woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital in Hillcrest, where she was treated and released. The injury occurred during a performance, and the show would continue without interruption, said a spokesman for Sea World. The injured worker was expected to return to work Monday.
