Toddler Injured Wednesday after Falling from Second-Story Window in San Marcos

JUNE 12, 2009 – An 18-month old boy was hospitalized after falling from a two-story apartment window, authorities said. The accident occurred about 10:30 a.m. at a complex on Rush Drive near Craven Road, according to a San Diego County sheriff’s spokesman. The boy was airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, where he was listed in stable condition, authorities said. Each year, approximately 18 children age 10 and under die from window fall-related injuries. An estimated 4,700 children ages 14 and under are treated in hospital emergency rooms.
