JUNE 5, 2009 – A person was struck and killed by a Coaster train while standing on the tracks, said a spokesman for the North County Transit District. The tracks were closed for two hours as a result of the incident, which occurred at 5:52 a.m. at Coast Boulevard and 15th Street, authorities said. The tracks reopened around 7:30 a.m.
