JUNE 1, 2009 – A 32-year-old man from Chula Vista was killed after driving on the wrong side of the road and colliding head on with another truck, according to the California Highway Patrol. The unidentified man was driving on the wrong side of Lake Jennings Park Road in a 2003 Dodge Dakota when he crashed into a 2004 Dodge truck that was traveling west near Jack Oak Road about 5 a.m., authorities said. The Chula Vista man was declared dead at the scene. The other driver, 51-year-old Benjamin Jessop of Utah, complained of back pain and was transported to a local hospital. Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The CHP is investigating.
