Elderly Woman Died Tuesday After Broadsided by Truck in Fallbrook
MAY 27, 2009 - An 84-year-old Fallbrook woman was killed when a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 broadsided her Chrysler 300 on a freeway overpass about 1:50 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said. Evelyn Ison Crenshaw died shortly after Richard Goodlake, 47, of Fallbrook allegedly ran a red light as he headed east on East Mission Road at the Interstate 15 overpass, authorities said. Crenshaw was trapped in her vehicle and declared dead at the scene. Goodlake told authorities he became distracted shortly before the accident. He was not immediately taken into custody, but the investigation continues, the CHP said.
