Human Error to Blame in Woburn, Massachusetts Train Wreck

by on March 23, 2008

The National Transportation Safety Board found human error to blame that resulted in a collision of a commuter train and a maintenance truck last year.

The crash occurred on January 9, 2007 and left two track maintenance workers dead and was blamed on the failure of a train dispatcher to provide proper signaling as well as the work crews failure to use a device that would have provided extra signal protection on the tracks they were working.
