Man Dies Two Weeks After Elderly Driver Crashes Into Dentist Office

APRIL 29, 2009 – A man has died from his injuries sustained earlier this month when an elderly motorist crashed into his dental office. On April 15th, the unidentified 59-year-old man was visiting the office on Tierrasanta Boulevard when an 86-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle and drove into the lobby of the building. The man was pinned against a wall, suffering numerous fractures and organ damage. He was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he went into cardiopulmonary arrest two days later. Machines kept the victim alive until he succumbed to his injuries yesterday evening.
