APRIL 21, 2009 – A motorcyclist injured himself and a passenger while driving drunk in the Mission Bay Park area on Sunday. The unidentified 52-year-old man and his passenger, a 60-year-old woman, were traveling west on Pacific Beach Drive when he crossed into oncoming traffic. His motorcycle then collided with the side of a vehicle in the eastbound lanes. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with a severe ankle injury and his passenger suffered minor injuries. The man was later arrested on suspicion of DUI. He had been speeding at the time of the collision as well.
