APRIL 21, 2009 – A passenger died in a drunk driving accident on Friday night in Vista. 45-year-old Lorenzo Gabriel Lopez-Gonzalez was the passenger in a Toyota 4-Runner traveling east on West Vista Way when the driver lost control. The SUV then veered off the roadway and flipped numerous times before landing in the westbound lanes of Highway 78. Mr. Lopez-Gonzalez was thrown from the vehicle and died a short time later. The driver, 26-year-old Jesus Alonzo, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
