Lawsuits involving Helicopter Crash Settled
A lawsuit stemming from a 2002 medical helicopter crash that killed three people has been settled.
The attorney representing the families has confirmed that an agreement has been reached though no details of the settlement were revealed.
The Lifenet of the Heartland helicopter crashed on June 21, 2002 after leaving a Norfolk, Nebraska hospital.
In 2004 the National Transportation Safety Board ruled that a faulty tail rotor and an inexperienced helicopter pilot were the likely cause of the crash.
The agreement means that no trial, which was scheduled to begin on February 26, 2008, will likely be held.
