Jury awards burn victim $1.5 million
A jury in Anderson, Indiana has awarded $1.5 million to a mentally disabled man who suffered first- and second-degree burns when he was placed in a bathtub of scalding water.
The assisted living home where the man suffered the injury provides services to mentally disabled clients.
The jury decided Residential CRF, the assisted living home, must pay $1.125 million in damages, while Family and Social Services owes $375,000.
