FEBRUARY 24, 2009 – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a car in Otay Mesa yesterday. The unidentified 33-year-old man was walking on Heritage Road when he was hit by a car whose driver had lost control. The pedestrian was pinned between the driver’s car and a parked vehicle, crushing his legs. He was transported to the hospital with severe injuries. The driver, a 42-year-old man, had been traveling northbound when he swerved to avoid another vehicle near Otay Mesa Road. He then struck a catering truck and several trees before he hit the pedestrian.
