JANUARY 8, 2009 – Authorities have reported two women were injured in a crash on the ramp going from Highway 76 to I-15 in Fallbrook. A sedan crashed into the back of a semi-truck, trapping the driver and her passenger, who have not been identified, for more than a half hour. Firefighters eventually freed the women and they were taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. The accident happened shortly after 5 a.m., according to the CHP. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the crash. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
