DECEMBER 3, 2008 – The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office reported Edward Costa, 30, was killed Tuesday afternoon in Alpine. Costa was riding eastbound in the bike lane on Alpine Boulevard when he was hit by an SUV, just before 5 p.m. He was flown by air ambulance to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he died of his injuries. CHP officers at the El Cajon CHP office are looking for the driver of the SUV, which most likely has damage to the front right headlight.
