DECEMBER 2, 2008 – Northbound College Avenue was shut down temporarily Monday night after a bicyclist was hit by a car near the intersection of College Boulevard and Frazee Road in Oceanside. The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday. The victim, whose identity has not been released, but was described as a man in his 20s, was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, according to a fire captain. The cause of the Oceanside bicycle accident is not known. The bike crash is currently being investigated by the Oceanside police department.
