Man Seriously Injured in Borrego Springs Crash

DECEMBER 1, 2008 – The California Highway Patrol reported a man was seriously injured in Borrego Springs Sunday night, when he drove his car off Palm Canyon Drive and struck a tree.  The accident happened at 8:25 p.m. The man, whose identity has not been released, had to be extricated from his car by emergency rescue crews.  He was transported to a San Diego hospital by helicopter around 9:50 p.m. He is expected to survive.  The cause of the Borrego Springs single-vehicle crash is currently being investigated.
