Two Border Patrol Agents Hurt Sunday In Cleveland National Forest Crash

NOVEMBER 24, 2008 – A crash involving a Border Patrol Vehicle happened on Honey Springs Road east of Jamul in Dulzura just after 4 p.m. Sunday. After the vehicle went off the road for unknown reasons, one Border Patrol Agent was ejected, and another was trapped inside the vehicle after the car ran off the road. It took close to an hour to cut the trapped agent out of the government vehicle, the Cal Fire captain said.  The cause of the crash is not known and is being investigated. Both agents were flown to local hospitals via air ambulance, and are expected to survive, according to a Border Patrol spokesman.
