Two Men Seriously Injured in I-805 Freeway Racing Crash

NOVEMBER 24, 2008 – Two men were injured early Monday morning in a speed-related crash on southbound I-805, near Sorrento Valley Road in Mira Mesa.  The accident happened at approximately 2:10 a.m., when a Honda Civic went through a freeway guardrail and down a 100-foot embankment.   Police saw the Honda racing another vehicle just before the crash, but it is not known what happened to the other car.  The two men were taken by ambulance to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, for treatment of serious injuries.
