NOVEMBER 23, 2008 – San Diego County Sheriff’s officials have reported two people were killed in an accident Saturday night at the intersection of South Melrose Drive and Hacienda Drive in Vista. The single vehicle accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. After the Dodge sedan struck a tree, the vehicle burst into flames. The driver and passenger’s personal effects indicated they were active duty Marines. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident.
