Roof Collapse Injures Woman
A heavy downpour Saturday, October 20, 2007 in the McArthur Park area of Los Angeles caused a portion of a RiteAid store’s roof to collapse, injuring a 66 year old shopper.
The shopper suffered minor injuries when a 30 by 30 section of the roof of the RiteAid building at Fourth Street and Vermont Avenue collapsed.
The woman was knocked to the ground and complained of pain in both knees. She was taken to a hospital and reported in good condition according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
