San Diego Coaster Train Injures Pedestrian in Carlsbad
SEPTEMBER 8, 2008 – A man walked in front of a slow moving southbound Coaster on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 3:40 p.m. near the Carlsbad Village train station. Witnesses reported the man was either in his 30s or 40s. The man, whose identity was not immediately released, was severely injured but conscious, and was taken by helicopter to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. The Coaster was stopped for approximately 45 minutes, and other coaster trains were also delayed.
