A young man is in the hospital after being struck by a car in National City. 20-year-old Edgar Salario was running after a soccer ball on Euclid Avenue on June 28^th. A man driving a 1990 Honda Accord struck Mr. Salario just south of 16^th Street, resulting in two broken arms. The victim was transported to a hospital in Hillcrest where he is said to be in fair condition. The driver of the Honda fled the scene, and the vehicle was found abandoned several blocks from the accident.
