AUGUST 16, 2009 – A 60-year-old man died when his Suzuki Sidekick overturned in northeastern San Diego County, authorities said. John Paul Howard of Borrego Springs was driving east on Highway 78 when the sports-utility vehicle went off the roadway and rolled over several times, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner. Passing motorists spotted the wreckage and called emergency personnel. He was not wearing seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:41 p.m., officials said. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal SUV rollover crash.
